Orbiter 500 ultraflat and was designed for all critical camera
positions such as the centre pitch camera at soccer. Between the
coaches and the fourth referee space is limited and views must be
unrestricted. This is accomplished by the Orbiter ultraflat, the camera
seat with the lowest shot worldwide. This permits to place it almost
everywhere without interfering with anybody working close to it.
The
Orbiter 270 ultraflat provides a range of 270° for the operator in a
very low working position and independent movement of camera and seat
as known from all its relatives out of the Orbiter family. Horizontal
pan and the swivel seat are not linked but on the same axis. There is
also trouble-free movement due to its central cable feeding.
Steady pictures are achieved by the Orbiter‘s specific design.
Contrary to other low shooters the seat is not directly connected to
the centre column, where the camera is mounted. This means no shock
motions are transmitted from the operator to the camera.
During
the FIFA soccer world cup 2006 in Germany its next relative, the
Orbiter 500 ultraflat was applied exclusively at all centre pitch
positions in every stadium during all matches.
At soccer it can be used at all camera positions close to the pitch. At tennis broadcasts it comes in handy
if positioned close to the net and at athletics it is often used at the
end of jump discipline areas. The Orbiter 270 ultraflat is the economic
version of the Orbiter 500 ultraflat and was designed to match the
